2020Pinkston 2/3 Double

Coronavirus Update - 26 March

Current BC policy is cancellation of all events up to 30th April. Pinkston Watersports is currently closed until further notice. Over 70's and vulnerable people will be in isolation until long after the event dates, this may affect our volunteer pool. Several of our usual volunteers are NHS staff, they will be far too busy to help this year. This event is theoretically still 'on'. However; there will be significant organisational challenges if restrictions are lifted in time. As it is we will not be surprised if restrictions are extended beyond April. Bearing in mind all of these challenges, we would recommend anyone booking accommodation for this event to make sure they choose something refundable, if it is even possible to make bookings. At the latest we will review the situation 2 weeks before the event with guidance from BC as appropriate.

In the mean time lets continue to hope things will return to normal in time.

This is a double race weekend for divisions 2 and 3, 1 race per division each day. Due to the ability to vary the flow rate of the artificial white water course we will be using the same gates with different flow per division, with a short break between divisions to allow the water to settle and fine tune gate heights.

  • Officials - 3 pump flow
  • Division 2 - 2 pump flow
  • Division 3 - 1 pump flow

Practise sessions:

Practise sessions are sponsored by EPD, details will be confirmed nearer the race.

Caravans & Motorhomes:

We will have limited hard standing space in the centre car park for some caravans and motorhomes at £15 per pitch per night. Unfortunately we do not have anywhere suitable for tents. Please email for more details or to book.
